62 Annual Spelling Bee

We have a winner.

Pinal County 62 Regional Spelling Bee Champions Announced!

The Pinal County 62 Regional Spelling Bee brought together some of the brightest young spellers from across the region for a thrilling display of linguistic skill and determination. Students competed through multiple challenging rounds, showcasing their dedication, hard work, and mastery of complex words.

After an intense showdown, Salman Rashid, a 6th grader from JO Comb’s School District, claimed the championship title, with Sufiyan Hossain, a sixth grader from Eduprize, earning a well-deserved runner-up spot. Both of these talented spellers will advance to the Arizona State Spelling Bee, where they will proudly represent Pinal County.

Additionally, Adam Theriault, a seventh grader from Maricopa, finished in third place, and Jacob Sharff, a fourth grader from Oracle, secured fourth place, showcasing their incredible spelling abilities and determination throughout the competition.

A huge congratulations to all participants for their hard work and perseverance. We also extend our gratitude to the teachers, coaches, and families who supported these students along their journey. Best of luck to our top two spellers as they prepare for the state competition—we know they will make Pinal County proud!
